Job Title: Warehouse Worker - 18/HR - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within our facility.

Responsibilities

+ Control the flow of shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing them to shipping and receiving office associates for processing.

+ Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

+ Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

+ Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, rack location, or product code.

+ Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.

+ Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.

+ Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.

+ Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method.

+ Open bales, crates, and other containers.

+ Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

+ Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.

+ Prepare parcels for shipping.

+ Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

+ Wear the proper safety equipment.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of experience working in a warehouse.

+ Good tenure with at least 6 months at each place of employment.

+ Ability to lift bins up to 50lbs.

+ Ability to count parts accurately.

+ Proficiency with a handheld scanner.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean warehouse distribution center with a team-oriented environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
