Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician where you will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment critical to our operations. Your expertise will guide others during the planning and installation process, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of machines, control panels, switchboards, and motors.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in the installation of new machinery and mechanical equipment.
+ Guide and collaborate during planning and installation processes.
+ Install and maintain machines, control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, switches, and motors.
+ Test circuits, diagnose readings, and resolve problems efficiently.
+ Discuss report readings with external machine tool manufacturers for advice.
+ Coordinate with Engineering Staff on changes to plant layout requiring equipment movement.
+ Provide input on equipment placement, cost, and time requirements for changes.
+ Diagnose electrical/mechanical-related issues with automated machine tools.
+ Use diagnostic equipment to locate malfunction causes and verify with equipment vendors.
+ Employ hand and power tools to replace components, make adjustments, and recalibrate machinery.
+ Manage equipment maintenance manuals and service records.
+ Monitor third-party maintenance contractors and provide feedback.
+ Maintain maintenance shop and spare parts inventory.
+ Set up shop with necessary tools and supplies for machine maintenance.
+ Issue purchase orders for inventory management and implement systems for parts issuance.
+ Participate in and sustain 6S activities.
+ Ensure safety policies are followed and encourage safe working practices among coworkers.
+ Participate in kaizen events and sustain improvements.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
+ Experience with 480v and 3-phase motors.
+ Ability to read schematics or electrical drawings.
+ Experience with lockout/tag out procedures.
+ Experience with hydraulic systems.
+ Basic welding skills (MIG or TIG).
+ Experience with AC/DC motors and drives.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Eaton, and Automation Direct).
+ Arc flash training or gear training.
+ Building maintenance experience.
+ Ability to read relay logic or ladder logic.

Work Environment
Work at a facility that operates on 2nd or 3rd shifts, with weekends included, averaging 48 hours per week. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AURORA, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.41 - $28.41/hr.
