    Job Title:** **Clean Linen Attendant

    Job Description

    Ensure the timely and accurate delivery, collection, and management of clean and soiled linens throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include sorting, folding, and stocking clean linens, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. The role also involves transporting linen carts to designated areas, handling soiled linens safely, and supporting the overall cleanliness and efficiency of linen services.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver clean linens to patient care areas and collect soiled linens promptly.

    + Sort, fold, and organize linens according to hospital standards.

    + Maintain accurate linen inventory and restock as needed.

    + Safely handle and transport soiled linens to designated processing areas.

    + Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures.

    + Assist with linen room organization and cleanliness.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling linen carts.

    + Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

    + Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred six months of experience in linen services, housekeeping, or related roles.

    + Experience in healthcare or hospitality environments is advantageous.

    + Familiarity with infection control practices and safe handling procedures.

    Work Environment

     

    Work primarily at St. Catherine’s in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Frequent interaction with hospital staff and occasional patient contact. The role involves continuous physical activity, including pushing and pulling linen carts, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand motions for folding and sorting. Expect exposure to soiled linens and adherence to strict infection control protocols.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
