Job Title: General Machine Operator** **Job Description

Join our team as a General Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating equipment to convert materials to established specifications. You will ensure that materials meet order requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform all duties necessary to set up, adjust, and operate one or more pieces of equipment.

+ Select proper job supplies, verify material conformity to order requirements, and load materials onto or off machines.

+ Transfer completed materials to skids, pallets, or containers and repackage unused bulk stock for proper storage.

+ Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.

+ Package or prepare materials for shipment, tag or label materials, and complete work orders and records.

+ Assist in monitoring required supplies, materials, and equipment, and fill out inventory use slips.

+ Perform job within rated production standards and provide feedback when standards are exceeded.

+ Follow and comply with employment rules and regulations as outlined in the Associate Handbook.

+ Ensure all quality standards are met, tests are performed, and data collection/documentation is completed as per the Quality Program.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Converting Supervisor or lead person.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of machine operator experience.

+ 2+ years of high-speed machine operator experience.

+ Ability to read and write proficiently, including reading a tape measure.

+ Basic math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in troubleshooting and measuring.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools.

+ Experience in general production and machine operation.

Work Environment

You will work in a large, clean manufacturing facility with a rotating schedule of 6am-6pm (2-2-3). You will mostly work independently but sometimes in small groups of 2-3. Be open to working during the week and on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
