Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will work from sketches, blueprints, and job specifications to ensure the smooth operation of machinery. You will maintain an accurate inventory of machine shop tools, raw stock, and supplies. Your role involves preparing and submitting supply requisitions promptly to ensure sufficient inventory and tooling. The job requires physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs and various movements including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities

+ Receive daily guidance from the Production Supervisor.

+ Complete all work according to accepted quality standards.

+ Perform tasks safely using proper personal protective equipment.

+ Maintain accurate records of work in the approved company format.

+ Keep a neat, clean, and organized work area, tools, and equipment.

+ Train others in job functions as needed.

+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

+ Position and secure tooling and holding devices.

+ Load programs and modify or edit parameters as needed.

+ Perform machine setup and load/unload parts.

+ Conduct in-process inspections and setup verification inspections for other operators.

+ Perform routine machine maintenance according to the TPM plan.

+ Carry out secondary operations as required.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and interpret schematics.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools.

+ Experience with Fadal and Datron milling machines.

+ Familiarity with CNC operations.

+ Capability to perform setup and conduct inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with stand-up forklift operations and warehouse inventory.

+ High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

+ Ability to read, write, follow written instructions, and complete job-related paperwork.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
