As a **Shop Service Technician** , you’ll be the go‑to expert diagnosing and repairing custom-built equipment. Every day brings something new — from hydraulic troubleshooting to fabrication work — all in a supportive, safety‑focused environment.

     

    • What You’ll Do

    + Diagnose and repair custom equipment using customer-reported issues.

    + Apply hands-on knowledge of **hydraulics** , **electronics** , and **mechanical systems** .

    + Use a full range of hand tools and shop equipment.

    + Assist with fabrication: **steel cutting, plasma cutting, and basic welding** .

    + Order needed parts and keep repairs moving efficiently.

    + Test equipment performance, including pressure checks and documentation.

    + Collaborate with supervisors to improve processes and solve challenges.

    + Take on additional tasks as needed — no two days look the same.

    • What You Bring

    + **2+ years** servicing heavy equipment.

    + **1+ year** working with hydraulics and 12‑volt electrical systems.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability.

    + Experience identifying relays, shorts, and electrical issues.

    + Knowledge of commercial truck mechanical systems.

    + Ability to use a programmer and understand stop/start wiring systems.

    • Bonus Skills

    + Industry certifications (any type is a plus).

    + Heavy equipment mechanic experience.

    + Ability to operate saws, plasma cutters, and oxy/acetylene torches.

    + Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

    + Solid basic math skills.

    • Work Schedule

    1st Shift:

    + Mon–Thu: 6:00 AM–3:30 PM

    + Fri: 6:00 AM–12:00 PM

    •️ Work Environment

    + Exposure to varying temperatures, weather, dust, fumes, odors, and noise.

    + Frequent lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.

    + Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

    + Requires strong visual acuity (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception).

    This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $87360.00/yr.
