    Position Overview:

    The Human Resources Lead will be responsible for managing all HR functions for a staff of 25+ employees, including labor relations, compliance with labor laws, and supporting unionized employees. This is an onsite role in South Los Angeles, ideal for a proactive, hands-on HR professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee all HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.

    + Serve as the primary HR contact for labor relations, managing union interactions and negotiations.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

    + Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote a positive work culture.

    + Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.

    + Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.

    + Collaborate with leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred.

    + Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with direct experience in labor relations and managing unionized staff.

    + In-depth knowledge of California labor laws and nonprofit HR practices.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations.

    + Hands-on experience in HR compliance, policy development, and employee relations.

    + Ability to work onsite in South Los Angeles.
