Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Timonium, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to vital accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization for payment.

• Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies.

• Schedule and execute payments to vendors while maintaining compliance with company policies.

• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records for auditing purposes.

• Assist with sales tax filings, ensuring timely submission and adherence to regulations.

• Process employee reimbursements and petty cash transactions in a timely manner.

• Monitor receivables, apply incoming payments to correct accounts, and reconcile daily bank activities.

• Prepare cash position reports to forecast funding needs and maintain financial stability.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including adjustments and reconciliations.

• Participate in accounting and finance projects, including audits and process improvement initiatives. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or similar accounting roles.

• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Experience with accounting software, such as NetSuite, Workday, or Sage, is required.

• Strong knowledge of coding invoices and managing billing processes.

• Ability to handle month-end close activities and financial adjustments.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.

• Familiarity with compliance requirements for tax filings and financial reporting.

• Capability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
