Description

We are looking for an experienced paralegal to join our client's legal team in Washington, District of Columbia. This role focuses on managing high-volume, complex commercial leasing matters, including drafting and revising lease documents, coordinating workflows, and supporting deal administration. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and revise commercial leases and amendments based on firm templates and letters of intent.

• Analyze lease provisions to identify inconsistencies, missing terms, or potential structural issues.

• Ensure all lease documents reflect accurate details such as key dates, rent structures, and commencement terms.

• Track and prioritize active leasing matters, deadlines, and open items across multiple deals.

• Coordinate signatures, finalize documents, and oversee the completion of leasing transactions.

• Maintain communication with attorneys regarding workflow progress and next steps.

• Monitor the status of leases and amendments throughout each stage of the process.

• Organize and update internal files, tracking systems, and portfolio records for leasing matters.

• Perform quality control checks, document comparisons, and manage critical dates within leasing documents.

• Serve as a reliable administrative support anchor for the leasing practice.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with commercial real estate and commercial leasing documents in a law firm is required.

• Strong analytical skills for reviewing lease provisions and identifying inconsistencies.

• Exceptional organizational abilities to manage high-volume workflows and deadlines.

• Effective communication skills to maintain clear and consistent updates with attorneys.

• Proficiency in managing document comparison and quality control processes.

• Familiarity with lease administration and tracking systems.

• Ability to function independently while supporting team objectives.

• Experience providing administrative support within a legal or leasing practice.
