Description We are looking for a skilled User Experience (UX) Designer to join our Product Research and Design team on a contract basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves creating and enhancing kiosk-based ordering experiences for our restaurant brands and collaborating closely with product managers and designers. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of design systems and a passion for crafting user-friendly digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze competitive data to understand the landscape of self-service ordering kiosks in the US quick-service restaurant market.

• Map and evaluate the in-store customer journey, focusing on the differences between mobile ordering and kiosk ordering.

• Assess current kiosk usability and design quality, proposing improvements and new features in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Develop design mockups and prototypes for key ordering flows, including rewards redemption and payment processes.

• Ensure compliance with design system standards for online ordering products and adapt them for kiosk-based systems.

• Extend or create new elements for design systems tailored to large-screen kiosk devices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement customer-centric design solutions.

• Conduct usability testing to refine designs and ensure optimal user experiences.

• Stay updated on industry trends to integrate innovative design approaches.

• Provide design support for additional tasks as needed during the contract period. Requirements • Proven experience in UX/UI design, preferably within the restaurant or retail industry.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and wireframing software.

• Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and usability evaluation.

• Ability to create high-quality mockups and prototypes for digital product designs.

• Familiarity with design systems and the ability to adapt them for different platforms.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks within deadlines.

• Knowledge of self-service kiosk technologies is a plus. Innovation starts with people.®
