Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Braintree, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processes such as accounts payable and receivable. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively while contributing to the smooth functioning of the accounting department.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring all invoices are accurately coded and recorded.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including generating invoices and tracking payments.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and update financial data with precision.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting procedures.
• Maintain organized records of financial transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
• Assist in monitoring cash flow and managing payment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as required. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and financial record management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Ability to accurately code invoices and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and standards is preferred.
