In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting system transitions, improving processes, and collaborating across departments to ensure operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while assisting in day-to-day activities critical to municipal functions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze reporting requirements and ensure accurate data extraction.

• Support the transition from the Munis legacy system to Workday, including data structure optimization and process improvements.

• Assist in the development and conversion of reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports, to meet organizational standards.

• Perform discovery and analysis to identify opportunities for enhanced operational efficiency and streamlined workflows.

• Provide expertise in municipal finance and accounting processes, including property tax files and real estate reporting.

• Address day-to-day system needs, particularly during high-demand periods such as tax season.

• Lead initiatives to modernize archaic processes and implement innovative solutions.

• Work closely with IT and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of systems.

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Munis system.

• Contribute to long-term projects and strategies aimed at improving system functionality and organizational performance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Munis system is mandatory.

• Strong background in business reporting and data analysis.

• Proven ability to support system conversions and implementations, particularly involving Workday.

• Experience with municipal or government operations and workflows.

• Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes, including tax-related activities.

• Proficiency in data structure optimization and reporting tool development.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and with external consultants.

• Ability to manage both day-to-day tasks and long-term project initiatives.
