Description

Robert Half is looking for a Civil Litigation Paralegal to assist our client in the Southwest Metro area of the Twin Cities. This is a contract position and 100% onsite. This position will focus on Dispute Resolution and provide crucial support to one attorney handling civil lawsuits and alternative dispute mechanisms. This Paralegal will manages the lifecycle of a case, from initial pleadings through trial and settlement, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist one attorney with case preparation, management of pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documents.

+ Conduct legal research, summarize findings, and maintain thorough case files.

+ Manage and track deadlines, court filings, and key dates to ensure timely compliance.

+ Draft correspondence, discovery requests, summaries of depositions, and other legal documents.

+ Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and meetings with clients, witnesses, and experts.

+ Collect, review, and organize evidence and documentation in support of litigation strategies.

+ Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, and assist with trial logistics.

+ Liaise with courts, opposing counsel, and clients as necessary to ensure efficient communication.

+ Support attorneys during proceedings, including preparing witnesses and organizing presentation materials.

Requirements

Key Skills and Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with experience in dispute resolution.

+ Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local court rules and procedures.

+ Excellent legal research, writing, and organizational skills.

+ Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under deadlines.

+ Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
