Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Personal Injury Attorney to join our client's team in Washington, District of Columbia. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in personal injury law with a proven ability to prosecute cases effectively. This is a permanent, in-office role that offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while delivering exceptional legal services to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to provide well-informed advice to clients.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, and mediation.

• Draft and review legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.

• Investigate claims thoroughly by gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to build compelling cases.

• Collaborate with colleagues, including attorneys and support staff, to ensure efficient case management.

• Stay current on developments in personal injury law and relevant legal precedents.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases.

• Advocate for clients in litigation, ensuring their rights are protected and best interests are served.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active admission to the state bar (Maryland and/or DC) and in good standing.

• Demonstrated expertise in personal injury law, including prosecuting cases or first-chair experience.

• Strong litigation experience, including courtroom advocacy and taking depositions.

• Exceptional research, writing, and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in managing multiple cases and meeting deadlines effectively.
