Description
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii, on a contract basis. In this role, you will handle high-volume invoice processing and ensure accuracy in matching purchase orders and invoices. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to support efficient accounts payable operations. Responsibilities:
• Process and enter a high volume of invoices into the system accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough two-way matching of purchase orders and invoices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Research and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with the service department to complete purchase orders before processing invoices.
• Utilize software tools, including Viewpoint Vista, for invoice coding and data entry.
• Troubleshoot invoice issues and follow up on incomplete purchase orders with relevant departments.
• Maintain organized records of processed invoices and purchase orders.
• Support the accounts payable team in meeting monthly deadlines and resolving vendor inquiries.
• Apply Microsoft Excel functions, such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF, to analyze and manage data effectively.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to optimize the accounts payable process.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable invoice processing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume data entry.
• Familiarity with purchase order matching and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Viewpoint Vista, or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions, including VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal departments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
