    Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple client accounts and ensuring accurate financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative workplace.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage bookkeeping tasks for multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    • Maintain and update general ledger activities, keeping financial records organized.

    • Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare financial reports for tax review.

    • Process and oversee payroll operations for assigned clients, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

    • Handle state filings, including sales tax, gross receipts tax, and withholding filings, adhering to monthly deadlines.

    • Collaborate with supervisors and team members during peak periods to share workloads effectively.

    • Ensure all records are maintained accurately and meet recurring compliance requirements.

    • Provide attentive and responsive communication with clients, addressing inquiries and building strong relationships. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or staff accounting roles.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, with preference for Desktop experience; Online version also acceptable.

    • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger.

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.

    • Excellent communication skills with comfort in client-facing interactions.

    • Previous experience in payroll processing is highly desirable.

    • Familiarity with state tax filings and compliance processes is preferred.

    • Adaptability to new technology and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
