    Description

    We are seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support front-line operations, ensuring a positive experience for every patient. This role plays a critical part in hospital and clinic settings, offering meaningful work and career growth in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

    Key Responsibilities include the following:

    + Greet, register, and check in patients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

    + Verify insurance eligibility, process authorizations, and collect co-payments

    + Accurately enter patient demographics and financial information into electronic health records

    + Answer patient and provider inquiries with compassion and resolve issues efficiently

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, billing, and scheduling

    + Identify opportunities to improve the patient intake workflow

    Requirements

    + Previous experience in healthcare administration, patient registration, or customer service preferred

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Attention to detail and proficiency in data entry

    + Comfort using EHR systems and other office technology

    + Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly

    + High school diploma or equivalent required
