Description

Our client in Bellevue is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance and accounting team on a contract basis. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the monthly and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare, maintain, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

+ Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

+ Perform account analysis and generate supporting schedules for audits and reviews.

+ Process journal entries and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions.

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as required.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.

+ Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulations.

+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

+ Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ 1-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

+ Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

+ Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.

+ Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Professional certification such as CPA is a plus but not required.
