Description

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee general accounting operations, including the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

+ Manage cost accounting functions, such as standard costing, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold reporting.

+ Conduct inventory analysis, monitor physical inventory counts, and reconcile discrepancies.

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements according to GAAP.

+ Support annual audits and coordinate information flow between internal and external auditors.

+ Maintain compliance with internal controls and industry-specific regulatory requirements.

+ Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to provide financial analysis for production efficiency, process improvement, and capital investments.

+ Assist in the creation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

+ Lead or participate in special projects, system implementations, or continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

+ Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and support staff.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

+ 4+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in manufacturing or cost accounting.

+ Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

+ In-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory management best practices.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
