    Description

    A growing healthcare organization in Vista is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in a regulated and fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to develop strong technical skills while contributing to a mission-centered organization.

     

    Role Overview

     

    The Junior Accountant will support the general ledger, assist with reconciliations, and contribute to accurate financial reporting while gaining exposure to healthcare accounting and compliance standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist with journal entries and month-end close tasks

    + Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies

    + Support AP and AR functions as needed

    + Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

    + Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting

    + Support payroll and benefits-related accounting entries

    + Collaborate with senior accountants on financial projects

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or in progress)

    + 0–2 years of accounting or internship experience

    + Basic understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP

    + Strong Excel skills and willingness to learn accounting systems

    + High attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Ability to handle confidential information professionally

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills
