Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Thousand Oaks, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for financial management to contribute to a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Record and maintain journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to manage financial data efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain bookkeeping records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members to support financial planning and operations.
• Conduct periodic reviews of financial data to identify and rectify inconsistencies.
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting to optimize financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
• Expertise in preparing financial statements and recording journal entries.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
