Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Stratford, Connecticut. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a variety of legal tasks, including supporting attorneys with agreements, filings, and other essential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and expertise in handling commercial contracts and intellectual property matters.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and distribution agreements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Manage trademark filing processes, including submissions to the USPTO and related documentation.
• Collect, organize, and input legal data to maintain accurate records of department activities.
• Assist attorneys with ongoing legal projects and provide administrative support as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of contractual and legal obligations.
• Conduct research and provide insights on legal matters to support decision-making.
• Draft and edit legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure all filings and agreements are submitted on time. Requirements • Proven experience in handling USPTO filings and trademark processes.
• Strong familiarity with distribution agreements and commercial contracts.
• Excellent organizational and data management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with attorneys and other team members.
