Description We are looking for a dedicated and personable Customer Service Representative to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves assisting the community by providing accurate information, addressing inquiries, and supporting government services. As a long-term contract position, it offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to local government operations while delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to inquiries, concerns, and requests regarding government services, policies, and programs.
• Guide constituents through government procedures to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather accurate information and deliver timely responses.
• Stay informed about local government initiatives, programs, and services to provide up-to-date information.
• Handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Utilize computer applications to manage data entry and access necessary records.
• Assist with occasional evening or weekend shifts to accommodate community needs.
• Identify and address customer issues effectively, providing suitable solutions.
• Ensure all interactions are conducted with courtesy and professionalism to foster trust and engagement. Requirements • Demonstrated background in customer service, preferably within government or public service environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications and willingness to learn new systems.
• Flexibility to work regular hours with occasional evening or weekend shifts.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
