Tax, Probate & Estate Planning Paralegal

Are you ready to take on a role where precision meets purpose? As a Tax, Probate, and Estate Planning Paralegal, you’ll be the trusted partner supporting attorneys in guiding individuals, families, and businesses through some of life’s most important decisions. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on organization, accuracy, and meaningful client interactions.

What You’ll Do

+ Create impact through detail: Draft and organize estate planning documents—wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.

+ Manage complex processes: Assist with estate and trust administration, prepare probate pleadings, and handle court filings while keeping everything on schedule.

+ Work with numbers and compliance: Compile financial data for estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and 1041).

+ Stay ahead of deadlines: Track timelines and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

+ Research and problem-solve: Review statutes, IRS regulations, and local court rules to support attorneys and clients.

+ Collaborate with professionals: Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and other experts to gather essential documentation.

+ Keep everything organized: Maintain detailed client files, schedule meetings, and assist with correspondence.

+ Communicate clearly: Draft letters, summaries, and reports that keep clients informed every step of the way.

+ Support the team: Provide administrative assistance and contribute to special projects within the practice group.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

+ Certificate, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.

+ Experience matters: 2+ years in probate, estate planning, or tax law preferred.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software.

+ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills—professional and compassionate.

+ Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Familiarity with probate procedures and federal/state tax filings is a plus.

+ Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
