    Clinical Support Specialist – SPD / OR

     

    St. Petersburg / Greater Tampa Area

     

    Experienced in Sterile Processing or the OR and ready to expand your impact beyond the department? This clinical-facing role partners directly with SPD and OR teams to improve tray management, workflow efficiency, and patient care.

    What You’ll Do

    + Serve as the SPD & OR expert for system setup, tray loading, audits, and best practices

    + Support workflow optimization, error reduction, and turnaround time improvements

    + Manage trays and instruments to ensure OR readiness

    + Provide hands-on training and in-services for SPD and OR staff

    + Troubleshoot equipment and process challenges alongside clinical teams

    + Track utilization and efficiency metrics

    + Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives

     

    What We’re Looking For

    Required

    + 5+ years in SPD, Central Services, Surgical Services, or the OR

    + Strong understanding of sterile processing workflows and tray management

    + Comfortable with hands-on equipment and basic technical troubleshooting

    + Highly organized with strong communication and customer-facing skills

    + Willingness to travel locally and work flexible schedules

    Preferred

    + Background as SPD Supervisor/Manager, Certified Surgical Technologist (Ortho or Spine), OR Team Lead, OR Liaison, or Associate Rep

    + CRCST certification or CST certification

    + Experience with quality or process improvement initiatives

    + Associate’s degree preferred, not required
