    Description

    Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry located in Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance department on a contract basis. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of key accounting processes and help drive operational excellence across our organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee general ledger, month-end close, and account reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency.

    + Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

    + Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

    + Partner with operations and supply chain to monitor cost accounting and inventory management.

    + Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audit preparation.

    + Lead continuous improvement initiatives for financial reporting and systems.

    + Mentor junior accounting staff and foster collaboration across teams.

    + Stay current on industry trends and support new projects as needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

    + Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing or industrial environments.

    + Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing processes.

    + Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.

    + Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
