Description

Robert Half is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Medical Collections Specialist for a contract opportunity with one of our valued healthcare clients. As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing outstanding receivables in a healthcare setting and supporting the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

+ Contact patients and insurance companies regarding overdue medical balances.

+ Review patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.

+ Negotiate payment arrangements and ensure timely collection of payments.

+ Maintain accurate records of collection activities in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

+ Collaborate with billing, insurance, and healthcare provider teams to clarify account issues.

+ Prepare regular aging reports and assist with reconciliations as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Previous experience in medical collections or healthcare accounts receivable.

+ Understanding of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes.

+ Proficiency in healthcare collections software and Microsoft Excel.

+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality compliance.
