Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Baltimore, Maryland. This role focuses primarily on accounts receivable tasks while providing support for accounts payable functions. If you have a strong background in accounting and enjoy working in a fast-paced, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Process cash applications with accuracy and efficiency.

• Prepare and mail customer account statements regularly.

• Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies and address account-related concerns.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies to ensure proper account reconciliation.

• Apply incoming payments to appropriate accounts and transactions.

• Assist with accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing and data entry.

• Provide year-end accounting support, ensuring all financial documentation is in order.

• Collaborate with team members to support general accounts payable operations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience using accounting software.

• Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing.

• Ability to handle cash applications and resolve invoice discrepancies.

• Familiarity with managing account discrepancies and performing reconciliations.

• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and issue resolution.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
