    Description

    A growing manufacturing company in San Marcos is looking for a Payroll Specialist to support a high-volume, multi-shift workforce. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured processes, clear deadlines, and collaboration with HR and operations teams. You’ll play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy for both hourly and salaried employees across multiple departments.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Process weekly payroll for hourly production staff

    + Audit timecards, shift differentials, and overtime calculations

    + Maintain payroll records and employee pay data

    + Support onboarding and offboarding payroll changes

    + Coordinate with HR on benefits and deductions

    + Prepare payroll reports and support month-end close

    + Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

    Requirements

    + 2–4 years of payroll experience

    + Experience supporting hourly or union workforces preferred

    + Strong understanding of payroll processes and controls

    + Proficiency with payroll software and Excel

    + Ability to work on-site in an operations-focused environment

    + Strong organizational and time-management skills
