Job Skills / Requirements

HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sunstates Security is hiring Flex Security Officers covering multiple sites in the surroundings areas of Palo Alto , CA area . This position offers a pay rate of $31/hr, paid weekly.

Must be flexible to work any shift and travel to the nearby sites.

Requirements:

+ CA Guard Card/ 40-hour Certificate preferred.

+ CPR Card.

+ Successfully complete Sunstates background check which includes a 10 Panel Drug Screen and the clients more extensive background check.

+ Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and more than 3 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide exceptional customer service by upholding our standards in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

+ Natural composure and an infectious attitude towards arising issues with the ability to adapt quickly and develop practical solutions with minimal supervision.

+ Prepare all required written reports in an ongoing and timely manner, including but not limited to: Daily Activity Reports (DAR’s) and Incident Reports.

+ Operating phones, radios, and computer systems and applications such as MAC IOS, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Suites.

+ Monitoring Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and alarm panels for emergencies and potential issues.

+ Following site specific post orders, pass down messages, and being in compliance with employee handbook guidelines at all times.

+ Conduct interior and exterior patrols within an office, and industrial complex.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex:

+ You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.

+ Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.

+ You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.

+ Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.

+ You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability described on this sheet, you must communicate this with your supervisor, so they know not to schedule you.

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
