As an IT Project Manager, you will lead a US-focused SAP S/4HANA enhancement project aimed at expanding and optimizing existing capabilities across Supply Chain Warehouse and Logistics processes. Your role is vital in supporting the implementation of enhanced features within the existing SAP S/4HANA landscape. This position involves effective planning, execution, and governance across all phases of the project management methodology, collaborating with global teams and reporting to a Steering Committee.
Responsibilities
+ Define, plan, and direct execution of SAP S/4HANA enhancement initiatives while balancing scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and risk.
+ Own and maintain all standard project management deliverables, including project plans, schedules, RAID logs, stakeholder communication plans, RACI matrices, and meeting documentation.
+ Track progress against baseline schedule and budget, proactively manage scope, risks, and issues.
+ Provide timely status reporting and escalate risks and issues to the Hiring Manager and Steering Committee.
+ Manage project execution across multiple global time zones (US, India, Europe CET).
+ Lead SAP S/4HANA initiatives supporting modules such as Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), and Intercompany processes.
+ Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined, approved, and delivered.
+ Accountable for Computer System Validation (CSV) activities in a GMP/GxP-regulated environment.
+ Manage project teams responsible for creating and maintaining validation documentation in alignment with SDLC and regulatory requirements.
+ Ensure inspection-ready documentation and compliance with applicable quality, validation, and data integrity standards.
+ Accountable for data migration planning, cutover activities, and go-live execution.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute mock conversions, deployment activities, and go-live readiness.
+ Support post-go-live stabilization and transition to hypercare for a limited period.
+ Deliver projects using a Waterfall methodology with selected components driven using SAFe, in coordination with global teams.
+ Utilize project and delivery tools including Smartsheets, Airtable, and Jira.
+ Collaborate with offshore development resources as applicable.
+ Lead and coordinate a medium-complexity IT project team of approximately 15 resources.
+ Manage relationships with business, IT, and technology stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Essential Skills
+ SAP S4HANA project experience (implementation or enhancements).
+ Experience with ECC is acceptable.
+ Implementation experience required.
+ 7+ years of experience in project management.
+ Proven ability to manage medium-complexity projects across multiple global locations and time zones.
+ Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a global matrixed environment.
+ Project management certification such as PMP or SAFe preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience delivering SAP solutions in a GMP/GxP-regulated environment.
+ Experience within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry.
+ Experience supporting post-go-live hypercare and stabilization.
+ Masters degree preferred in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
+ Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is nice to have.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence required three times a week, aligning with team schedules. Occasional domestic travel within the United States will be reimbursed according to company travel policy.

This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
