    Requirements

    Summary:

    Member of the Accounting Team. The successful candidate will process the weekly hourly payroll and perform Accounts Payable duties. Additionally, the candidate will assist with month-end close process, process T&E reports, prepare various reports, assist with bank audits, and perform other accounting duties as deemed necessary. Candidate will also train to back-up various accounting duties as necessary.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Process weekly hourly (union) payroll

    + Accounts Payable

    + Participate in the month-end closing process

    + Prepare, create, edit and update spreadsheets

    + Year-end audit/closing & Bank Audits

    + Participate in the annual physical inventory

    + Process T&E’s (travel and expense reports) for payment

    Qualifications:

    Minimum: The successful individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are also desirable:

     

    + Data entry

    + Payroll processing experience, hourly/union payroll (must have)

    + Accounts Payable experience (strongly preferred)

    + GL experience (posting entries, etc.)

    + Strong time management skills

    + Data entry

    + Problem solving

    + Analytical Ability

    + Communication Skills

    + Interpersonal skills (ability to communicate basic accounting issues to all levels of organization)

    + Positive attitude and the ability to learn new things

     

    Office environment may tour or infrequently be exposed to an industrial environment.

     

    Reports to:Accounting Manager

    Education / Training:

    Minimum:

    + Associates Degree in Accounting or other related Degree

    + 3 years of related experience

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor’s Degree

    + Accounting experience in a manufacturing facility

    Schedule:

    + 8-hour shift

    + Monday to Friday

    + Overtime as business requires

    Salary Description

    $55,000-$65,000
