Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Company at our Atlanta West facility is seeking a Processing Operator who consistently demonstrates outstanding work behaviors and a drive for excellence. As a Process Operator at Clorox, you will operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes. Follow strict quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of product quality. Resolve any production issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve root causes of any manufacturing inefficiencies and efficiently implement corrective actions. The role involves coordinating various processing activities to ensure efficient workplace organization and adherence to safety protocols. Under limited supervision, working as a fully trained line operator responsible for operating and adjusting all the equipment associated with the Process Operation. The employee must demonstrate and sustain proficiency in areas of Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Production and/or Process, and Cost.
Starting hourly rate: $28.62 with a shift differential for overnight hours.
Schedule: 12hr Rotating Swing Shift (7am-7pm) operating in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
In this role, you will:
Safety
+ Demonstrates safety and housekeeping as non-negotiable.
+ Performs all required safety and housekeeping audits.
+ Completes BBS observations and near miss reporting.
+ Participate in department safety incident investigations.
+ Identify safety issues and immediately implement countermeasures, involving the right resources.
+ Fosters an environment and attitude that delivers zero risk, zero near misses, zero treatment reports, zero recordables, and zero LT cases.
+ Ensure all other safety goals of the team are met.
Quality
+ Treats quality as non-negotiable.
+ Performs all required quality checks at specified intervals during shift.
+ Adheres to proper hold procedures during each hold event.
+ Communicate quality issues to the right resources and respond in a timely fashion.
+ Perform regular in-line and finished case-quality checks accurately.
+ Ensure all quality equipment (Checkmat, checkweighers, open flap detection, code daters, etc.) is always functioning.
+ Delivering world class results in all areas of quality.
Production
+ Work closely with other departments (packaging, winders, maintenance, distribution, etc.) to ensure all issues impacting production are communicated and resolved.
+ Seamlessly flows work.
+ Execute scheduled changes per established guidelines working with scheduling, distribution, operations, maintenance, and materials groups.
+ Ensure proper start-up and shutdown of process equipment (use of checklists).
+ Provide break and lunch relief if required. Provide line coverage if required.
+ Work overtime, vacation, and absenteeism issues to ensure the success of the team.
+ Ensure assigned PM’s, CIL’s, and centerlines and other checks are completed on each line.
+ Displays sense of urgency to find and fix all abnormalities and other operating issues.
+ Ensure that all other aspects of the process are flawlessly executed.
+ Participate in shift exchange meetings between shifts.
+ Make appropriate contacts with leadership to communicate any serious issues during the shift.
+ Identify equipment issues and write work orders to correct equipment issues.
What we look for:
+ Ability to calibrate pH meters and run quality checks for batches.
+ Monitor tank levels and make chemical batches at appropriate times.
+ Unload tanks and trucks and pump drums and totes into tanks.
+ Deface and clean totes and drums for reuse and recycling.
+ Has training and experience in handling chemicals in a safe manner
+ Knowledge of all Process equipment operations skills to include changeover adjustments, maintenance, safety procedures and troubleshooting skills to maintain the highest operating standards.
+ Must be able to perform basic PMs such as lubrication, inspection of components for wear, maintenance of pneumatic system components, etc.
+ Must have good interaction skills, work respectfully with a diverse group and build synergy
+ Must have the initiative and enterprise to tackle problems without supervision and develop creative solutions.
+ Possess Basic Computer Skills with Email, Microsoft Office knowledge.
+ Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, with a sense of urgency.
+ Be in good standings for attendance and/or work performance; internals have qualified at the Group 4 level and possess a strong working knowledge of Process Operations.
+ Being a qualified Filler Operator is required.
+ Strong commitment to plant’s non-negotiables and company’s core values.
+ Be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Workdays and schedules may change periodically for training purposes, and according to business needs. Must be able to work off shifts and some weekends.
+ Supports Line / Area improvement projects and equipment installation that drive plant metrics.
+ Meets overall selection criteria in the areas of performance, leadership, attendance, job skills, and other criteria specifically established for this position. Each qualified applicant will be interviewed for the final selection.
+ Meets require Skill Certification Criteria.
+ Supports Skill Assessment and progression as required.
+ Possess effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
