• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator

    ManTech (Key West, FL)


    **MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator** to join our team in **Key West, FL.** This position is on-site 5 days a week.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems

    + Work side-by-side with the engineer to maintain and deploy VDI thin clients

    + Work directly with SCCM/MECM to ensure patching/security compliance is handled and with the Service Desk department to troubleshoot issues with the hardware/software

    + Keeping master image and pools update and secured. Implement patches, updates, and configuration changes in coordination with cybersecurity and IT teams

    + Interface with the customer, gathering requirements and delivering solutions.

    + Troubleshoot VDI-related issues, including user access, performance, connectivity, and software compatibility

    + Monitor system performance and usage to identify bottlenecks or failure points and recommend improvements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. A degree can be substituted for additional experience.

    + High School Diploma and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree

    + Associate’s degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree

    + A master’s degree is equivalent to an additional 2 years of experience and a PhD is equivalent to an additional 4 years of experience

    + 5+ years of direct experience supporting VDI environments

    + 10+ years of overall IT experience in system administration or related technical roles

    + Experience with VMware Horizon, Citrix, or other major VDI solutions. Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree or PhD in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.

    + FSLogix and/or HorizonView Client experience preferred

    + VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V), or related certification.

    + Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have an active Secret clearance.

    + Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

    + Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
