    Special Education Teacher (SPED)

    Position Overview

    A school in Minooka is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a resource classroom setting. This role is ideal for an educator who is flexible, student-centered, and ready to step into a supportive team environment.

     

    Caseload details will be finalized upon placement, but the position will focus on providing targeted academic and behavioral support to elementary-aged students.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide specialized instruction to students in a resource classroom

    + Develop and implement IEP-aligned instructional plans

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

    + Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

    + Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

    + Communicate effectively with families and school teams

    Qualifications

    + Valid Special Education teaching certification (Illinois)

    + Experience working with elementary students preferred

    + Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

    + Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
