Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) – 2025–2026

Contract Length: ASAP through the remainder of the 2025-2026 School Year

Schedule: 37.5 / hours week

Grade Levels: Elementary & Middle School

Classroom Types: Multiple SDC and Therapeutic classroom placements

Required Qualifications

+ Current California Special Education Teaching Credential with Mild/Moderate Authorization (Applicants must print and attach their CTC credential page with their resume.)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Minimum 1 year of recent school district teaching experience

+ Experience with TouchMath and Sonday curriculum

+ Familiarity with SEIS for case management and documentation

Position Responsibilities

+ Deliver differentiated classroom instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals

+ Provide case management for assigned students

+ Set up, facilitate, and write legally compliant and defensible IEPs

+ Conduct formal assessments as required

+ Attend SPED trainings as requested by the district

+ Collaborate with SPED teachers, specialists, and general education staff

+ Manage, train, and support assigned paraeducators
