The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs directpatient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensedmedical professional. The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient careactivities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for thepersonal needs and comforts of patients.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistantwithin the last three years

+ Graduate from certified nursing assistant program withsubsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per staterequirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and ingood-standing

+ Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clericalfunctions

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Amergis is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide community-based care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (no CNA-specific duties are involved). You’ll assist with daily activities like personal care, housekeeping, recreational outings, transportation, and more. DSPs work directly with individuals either in residential settings or community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities

+ Support individuals with daily activities such as personal care, recreational activities, community integration, and transportation.

+ Assist with housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.

+ Document progress and ensure confidentiality of all information.

+ Maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, and guardians.

+ Report any health, safety, or behavioral concerns following company policies.

Requirements

+ Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required (no CNA-specific duties involved).

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ At least six months of experience in human services is preferred.

+ Must be 18 years or older.

+ Completion of all state-required training within mandated timeframes.

+ Work will primarily take place in program locations, with occasional community-based activities.
