The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close andimmediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basisproviding general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatorysection of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility securitystandards.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in theapplicable state
+ Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Position Summary
A Licensed Practical Nurse is needed to support daily clinical operations within a correctional healthcare setting. This role requires strong assessment skills, reliability, and the ability to work safely and effectively in a secure environment. Prior corrections experience is required for consideration.
Schedule Requirements
This position follows a strict rotating 36/48 schedule. Candidates must be able to work the exact rotation below:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, SaturdayWeek 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
This rotation repeats every two weeks and includes every other weekend.
Qualifications
+ Active LPN license
+ Corrections experience required or similar
+ Ability to work the rotating schedule without exceptions
Compensation
+ Local (within 50 miles): $38/hour
+ Travel (over 50 miles): $20/hour with $1,000 stipend weekly ($1,720 or $2,040 weekly)
Contract Details
+ 26-week contract
+ Opportunities to extend for an additional contract
+ Option to transition to internal staff after completion of the initial term
