    Job Title: Special Education Teacher

    Start Date: ASAP (Estimated: 1/5/2026)

    Contract Length: 2025–2026 School Year (Approx. 39 weeks)

     

    Hours: 37.5–40 hours/week, Monday–Friday (School Hours)

    Position Overview:

    The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality educational services to students in grades 9–12. This role includes planning and implementing individualized programs, delivering instruction, supervising students, and maintaining compliance with SPED requirements (writing IEPs and conducting IEP meetings). Teachers will have a planning period and classroom aide support.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    + Lesson planning and instruction for Employability Courses

    + Student supervision and classroom management

    + Grade entry and progress monitoring

    + Compliance with SPED regulations, including IEP development and meetings

    + Collaboration with school staff and administration

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

    + SC Special Education Certification REQUIRED

    + Minimum 1 year teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR certification and health/TB clearance if applicable
