    Description and Requirements

     

    The Outside Sales Representative – Bilingual is responsible for calling on independent bodegas and supermarkets to sell client products, secure new item authorizations, execute promotions, and perform merchandising. Focusing on the Hispanic market, this role follows monthly priorities set by the Business Managers and ensures product distribution and in-store execution in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), customer-focused, and capable of building strong relationships with store personnel.

    What will you do?

     

    + Visit assigned stores in the territory regularly and maintain strong in-store relationships.

    + Present new products and promotional activities to store buyers and managers to secure orders and on-floor displays.

    + Plan promotional activities up to three months in advance with store buyers.

    + Review the distribution of existing items to ensure proper placement and compliance.

    + Assist with merchandising, stock rotation, and display maintenance for client products.

    + Enter orders into the turnover system after store visits and transmit for distributor delivery.

    + Maintain knowledge of all products, new items, and promotions.

    + Keep the Retail Manager informed of competitive activity, trends, and store issues.

    + Ensure adherence to approved plan-o-grams and perform routine checks, including date codes.

    + Negotiate contracts and communicate effectively in both Spanish and English.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    How will you succeed?

     

    + Build strong rapport with account buyers, store managers, and store personnel.

    + Effectively plan visits to maximize sales opportunities and merchandising impact.

    + Demonstrate reliability, organization, and attention to detail in all tasks.

    + Communicate clearly and professionally in both Spanish and English.

    + Physically capable of lifting up to 45 pounds and working on your feet for extended periods.

    **Experience and Qualifications** :

    + Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal).

    + Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

    + Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, and standing for long periods.

    + Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

    + Comfortable using electronic devices and applications for order entry and reporting.

    + Must be able to start work early in the mornings.

    **Work Environment and Physical Requirements** :

    + Work occurs in independent bodegas and supermarkets throughout the assigned territory.

    + Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting are required.

    + Must handle products and displays safely and follow all company policies.
