Accounting Manager

Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will supervise the following: Junior Accountants, AP Clerks, PR Clerk, Hospice Accountant with dotted line with network finance.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the management of the Axiom system, preparation of monthly and standard journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, assistance with preparation of financial statements, assistance with preparation of annual hospital budget, and other responsibilities for Scotland Health Care System.
Job Duties and Standards:
+ Supervise the following: Junior Accountants, AP Clerk, PR Clerk, Hospice Accountant and ‘dotted line’ with network finance.
+ Management of Axiom system.
+ Prepares monthly journal entries and reconciliations as assigned.
+ Prepares journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements for Scotland Memorial Foundation.
+ Compiles and maintains statistical information for financial statement purposes and individual departments.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ + Bachelor's Degree in Business required, preferable with an emphasis in Accounting.
+ Two years of experience preferred.
+ Healthcare experience preferred.
