    Northrop Grumman is seeking **Electrical Engineers** for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space sector in Chandler, AZ.

     

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Launch Vehicles business group.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities

     

    The candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Electrical Engineer Intern for one of our launch vehicle programs, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with launch vehicle flight hardware and electrical ground support equipment.

    Specific duties may include:

    + Performing hands-on electrical testing at a systems level

    + Maintaining procedures for the assembly and test of launch vehicle systems

    + Incorporating hardware and/or software design changes

    + Documenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actions

    + Constant and timely communication with other team members

    Basic Qualifications

    A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    + Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026

    + Be majoring in **Electrical Engineering or a related field**

    + Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during **summer 2026.**

    + Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    + Ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion

    + Ability to work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking, and still communicate effectively

    + Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

    + Hands-on electrical testing and diagnostic experience

    + Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines

    + Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems

    Intern Pay Range:

    Bachelor’s: $18.75 to $34.50 per hour

     

    Master’s: $27.00 to $42.50 per hour

     

    At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

    Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
