Onsite (Santa Monica)

Skilled Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience with strong expertise in AWS cloud services and Python development, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable solutions. Knowledge of Benchling is a plus but not mandatory. You will play a key role in building and integrating applications that support our business processes and scientific workflows.

key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python and AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, etc.).

• Implement secure and scalable cloud-based solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and backend services.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required skills

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration techniques.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.

• Good understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred qualification

• Knowledge of Benchling platform and its APIs.

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Exposure to data processing or scientific workflows is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $60,325- $126,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
