Join Edward Jones in shaping the future of digital wealth management. As a Software Engineer on the Proposal Activations and Documents team, you'll play a pivotal role in building and evolving a high-impact platform that empowers financial advisors to deliver personalized, investment strategies with speed, clarity, and confidence.
What you'll do:
+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and intuitive digital tools that streamline proposals and onboarding workflows.
+ Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless advisor experiences that integrate retirement, brokerage, education, and other account types into a unified proposal.
+ Leverage modern technologies and cloud-native architectures to build resilient, high-performance services that support Edward Jones' growing SMA/UMA and fee-based planning initiatives.
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation.

Skills/Requirements
What Experience You'll Need:
+ Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or related work experience
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development. Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, TypeScript) and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, React). Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure), microservices, and API-first development.
+ Proficient in at least one of the following:
+ Web Application Development
+ Client/Server Application Development
+ Mainframe Online and/or Batch Development
+ Enterprise or solution specific purchased software
+ Understand business implications of projects for systems within responsibility and prior experience
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
**Current INTERNAL home-based associates:** While this role is posted as hybrid, **if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status** . Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
