Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Coordinates patient groups and activities to promote psycho-education and therapeutic treatment using clinical diagnostics and the application of therapeutic modalities and relapse prevention strategies to a diverse population of adults with behavioral health diagnoses.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Facilitates psycho-educational and therapeutic groups.

+ Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment which promotes a positive patient experience.

+ Manages crisis situations effectively using CPI techniques

+ Provides clinical interventions assessed by individual needs.

+ Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team weekly and collaborates with team to provide individualized treatment goals.

+ Documents in medical record.

+ Encourages and/or assists patients to perform activities of daily living.

+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

+ Bachelor's degree in Mental Health or related field from an accredited college or university

+ CPR – American Heart Association

+ Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

+ Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

+ Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

+ 3+ years experience in clinical individual and group psycho-educational therapy, crisis intervention, mental health assessment. Familiarity of social services and outpatient providers.
