About the Job

The Shift Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the General Utility, Load Technician and Kiln Operator. R esponsible for conducting routine plant inspections and work related audits, ensuring that the workforce is properly trained for all required tasks assigned. The Shift Supervisor will coordinate and plan all production related work. They will coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure that the production department needs are being addressed.

+ Perform routi ne plant inspections in all work areas.

+ Perform routine and spot audits on various tasks within the plant.

+ Ensure that production samples are c ollect ed , analyze d, and resulting material is directed to the appropriate areas.

+ Ensure that all Safety Standards are being followed while tasks are being carried out.

+ Facilitate daily and weekly huddle talks and safety presentations for the production department.

+ Plan and coordinate non-routine tasks within the plant including outage work.

+ Develop and ensure that specified QCQA procedures are being adhered to.

+ Direct the General Utility, Load Technician , and Kiln Operator positions as required.

+ Conduct environmental inspections of specific plant equipment and areas.

+ Record specific kiln data, quality data, and environmental data into the appropriate spreadsheets.

+ Review General Utility and Load Technician area inspection reports and mobile equipment inspections each shift

+ Create and prioritize work requests using the EAM software.

+ Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

+ Education: High School diploma or equivalent required , 2 or 4 year degr ee preferred.

+ Experience: 1 to 3 years of actual lime manufacturing experience.

+ Skills: Computer skills including MSOffice and other software as needed. Basic troubleshooting and the ability to make small production repairs.

+ Licenses: Valid Drivers' License

+ Abilities: Operate mobile equipment

+ Behaviors: Read and understand reference materials including manuals and drawings.
