Job Description
+ Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and optimize core systems components for the Network OS supporting OCI’s switch infrastructure.
+ Contribute to high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems through well-designed software and well-reasoned algorithms.
+ Apply expertise in data structures, system architecture, resource management, concurrency, and fault tolerance to real-world software problems.
+ Write efficient, maintainable code in systems-level languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Go.
+ Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team problem-solving sessions.
+ Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, identify root causes, and help drive robust solutions in production environments.
+ Proactively learn and onboard new technologies, including relevant areas of network engineering, as needed.
+ Support operational excellence by automating workflows, improving testing infrastructure, and contributing to monitoring and observability initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
+ 3–5 years of experience developing systems software, OS internals, or large-scale distributed applications.
+ Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts, and performance analysis.
+ Proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as Java, C, C++, Rust, or Go.
+ Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical domains quickly and apply rigorous reasoning to new problem spaces.
+ Experience with networking technologies (such as TCP/IP, switching, routing) preferred.
+ Strong collaboration, communication, and team-oriented mindset.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
