Responsibilities and Impact:
The Head of Operations Management leads the operational excellence agenda for the Digital Services organization, overseeing IT financial management, vendor and contract management, and communications. This role partners with leaders across the business, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to ensure robust financial governance, cost control, compliance, and effective communications. The Head of Operations Management is a key driver of process improvement, best practices, and operational transparency, supporting a dynamic, innovative, and high-performing organization.
+ **Team Leadership & Hands-On Expertise:** Manage and develop a high-performing team responsible for IT financial management, vendor and contract management, and communications functions within the CIO organization, while also demonstrating the ability to perform these functions directly when required.
+ **IT Financial Management:** Oversee and, when necessary, personally establish and track CIO organization budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Direct and participate in collaboration with Finance on budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis. Lead and contribute to tracking and controlling IT costs to ensure budgets are maintained and drive the identification and implementation of cost-saving opportunities.
+ **Vendor and Contract Management:** Direct the team’s liaison efforts with Legal, Finance, and Procurement on vendor and contract management for the CIO organization. Ensure the team accurately tracks vendors, contracts, budgets, PRS, and related financials. Lead the development and maintenance of processes for vendor selection and evaluation, including templates and best practices. Ensure the team understands and applies contract management practices and governance requirements. Guide the team and directly ensure contracts meet compliance criteria from regulatory, internal, audit, and reporting perspectives.
+ **IT Communications Management:** Manage and lead yearly communications planning for the CIO organization. Oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of communications templates for various operational needs.
+ **Communications Liaison:** Direct and participate in liaison efforts with the Corporate Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment. Guide and participate in coordinating communications with subsidiaries and internal teams, ensuring clarity and consistency.
+ **Intranet Management:** Oversee and manage intranet content for the Digital Services organization.
+ **Incident and Outage Communications:** Ensure the team manages communications related to outages, incidents, and status reporting for both internal and external audiences.
+ **Leadership & Team Development:** Foster a collaborative, innovative, and continuous improvement culture within the team; mentor and develop staff to promote operational excellence, while also leading by example through direct involvement in operational activities.
**Compensation/Benefits Information:** (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
+ **Senior Leadership Experience:** 10+ years of progressive leadership in IT operations, financial management, vendor/contract management, and communications within large, complex, global organizations.
+ **IT Financial Management Expertise:** Extensive experience in establishing, tracking, and managing multi-million-dollar IT budgets, cost management initiatives, and financial governance.
+ **Vendor & Contract Management Skills:** Demonstrated success in overseeing vendor selection, contract negotiation, compliance, and lifecycle management, including deep familiarity with procurement and legal processes.
+ **Strategic Communications:** Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive IT communications strategies, including incident management, status reporting, and executive briefings.
+ **Compliance & Governance:** Strong knowledge of regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements relevant to IT financial and contract management; experience implementing policies and controls to ensure adherence.
+ **Operational Excellence:** Track record of driving operational improvements, process optimization, and best practice adoption across IT operations teams.
+ **Collaboration & Influence:** Exceptional ability to partner and build relationships with senior leadership, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Communications, and subsidiary teams.
+ **Team Leadership & Development:** Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams; ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution when needed.
