    About the job you’re considering

     

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Developer / Business Development Executive to drive engineering sales for Engineering, Research and Development Services within Life Sciences domains. This role can be based in key U.S. regions including New England, New York, New Jersey, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Minneapolis, and Chicago.

    Your role

    + Bring Capgemini’s engineering services value to major Life Sciences clients in North America.

    + Present, promote and sell solutions/services using proven arguments to existing and prospective customers.

    + Lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closure of opportunities to drive profitable growth.

    + Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline consistent with account strategy.

    + Lead client relationships independently or with support from Client Partner or Client Leader.

    + Structure and craft deals for value, demonstrating offerings and capabilities.

    + Monitor client engagement levels and conduct periodic business reviews.

    Your skills and experience

    + Minimum of 4 years’ experience either selling engineering services to Tier One Life Sciences OEMs or working directly for a Tier One Life Sciences OEM.

    + Experience delivering value added engineering solutions in one or more of the following functional areas: Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Clinical, Regulatory, Laboratory or Quality.

    + Bachelor’s degree – Engineering or Sciences Degree.

    + Strong understanding of Life Sciences trends including Medical Devices, Cell and Gene Therapies, Biologics, and Gen AI.

    + Experience Selling Life Science Manufacturing Engineering solution – PLM, MES, LIMS, QMS, and LS Industry SaaS applications like Veeva, TetraSciences, Benchling etc. preferred.

    + Proven ability to seed, win and lead large strategic deals.

    + Strong consultative relationship-building skills and senior-level client engagement.

     

    Job Description - Grade Specific

     

    Embodies the sales function by developing content as well as presence, empathy, listening and trust with clients

    Persuades clients at different levels to get the adequate buying network to close deal

    Is insight driven and forward looking: understands the client within the context of the industry, the competition, the domain and its challenges and agenda to support the overall strategy

    Proposes a clear sales strategy for the assigned territory, balancing the add on sales and new logos, and in alignment with Capgemini strategy and priorities e.g., innovation

     

    The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $133,000 - $184,000

     

    Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

     

    The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

     

    These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

     

    It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

     

    In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
