Job Overview
Fairview has an immediate opening for a Cardiovascular Heart Clinic RN at the Heart Clinic located in Maplewood, MN. This role is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours biweekly) position, working Monday–Friday, with anticipated hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Provides Device Practitioner service to all Heart Clinic device patients such as: Reprogramming, Post-op checks, Troubleshooting, Turning devices on and off prior to procedures. Provides pre and post device implant education to patient and family.
Responsibilities
+ Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
+ Actively participates in creating and implementing workflow improvements.
+ Monitoring and assessing patients with implanted cardiac devices, performing device checks and interpreting implantable cardiac device data
+ Acts as clinical liaison with vendors regarding new technology and education updates.
+ Stays up to date on current policies, procedures and best practices
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree in Nursing
+ 3 years critical care nursing experience
+ MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
+ 3 years Electrophysiology experience, including device experience from a device manufacturer or clinic
